Well, they’ve only got 3 fingers.. so the stabbing game is much easier, and once that’s mastered… all that’s left are the innocent villagers- err I mean the evil viet kong!
Appropriate hidden comment is appropriate! My school is actually just starting a unit on the My Lai Massacre, so I totally got that. *laughs* Yeah. Um. *silence*
I WAS IN THE IRAQ WAR AND I FIND THIS COMIC TO BE absolutely true and hilarious. Seriously. Iraq was about 95% sit on your ass and pick sand out of your various orifices. I wish I had had a deck of cards too. *tear*
Anne.. one incident does not make a whole war… nor make all there baby killers. I protested the war, went AWOL for a year, but only felt sorry for those who had to go and what they had to do. The North VC were the real mass murderers not our guys, get you facts straight.
Um, I said we were studying it, not that our teachers have some hidden agenda to make us hate the army. But to quote the 4/8/1971 NY Times, “The issue is not whether the enemy guerrillas who have eviscerated or crucified or decapitated thousands of innocent South Vietnamese citizens are as culpable as Lt. Calley…they are valid questions; but they are not the issue here.” We have to hold ourselves accountable. Sure, the VC were mass murderers, but so were we. War is hard, distinctions are hard to draw, but the bottom line is that Americans killed civilians, no matter the extenuating circumstances.
There’s no better cure for boredom than murderous intent.
Wow…. these guys are getting some DEPTH…. love em!
Hidden comic. Damn straight.
AAAH OOH THE FRUSTRATION! I can’t read what’s on the helmet !
It’s in the previous comic (‘Nam (1/2)). It says “Born to Thrill”.
Looks like it says, “Born to Thrizzle” hahaha
Born to Thrizzle!
P.S. Love the ‘Nam Hair
What did you say? The Vietnam War?
That sounds boring as fuck!
Murph doesn’t really get flashbacks; he just pretends he does in order to sneak a look at Dobbs’ cards. And the occasional bonus man-hug.
how can you be bored when you have a knife like that!
Well, they’ve only got 3 fingers.. so the stabbing game is much easier, and once that’s mastered… all that’s left are the innocent villagers- err I mean the evil viet kong!
The knife game certainly has some extra risks when you’ve got 3 fingers to start with…
or maybe the knife game is why they have 3 fingers.
haha inc hate from “war heroes”
Helmet says “Born to thrizzle” I think… At least from what I can see.
I suppose they didn’t have webcomics in Vietnam either..
Who’d’ve thought that Murph would have a Beartato tattoo in the 70’s… awesome.
BEARTADO TATTOO!!!!

Anyone notice Dobbs had epic hair back in tha day?
Those boots look like the same brand that evil villains wear. Especially ones from Power Rangers
Wow, I thought it was just me who thought the helmet-text had changed from Born to Thrill, to Born to Thrizzle.
Guess Wes and Tony got bored. Hope they’re not anything like their characters.
Not true. Bad taste on this one guys.
You guys are still deleting my comments???
born to thrill in bad pensmanship
