Check it, a comic! Somehow it’s up here, what with Wes standing at the top of the world while Tony leaped across it.
A quick note: If you were interested in picking up the book for Christmas, quick UPS is the last of the shipping options available if you want to get it in time!
But if you just want to get yourself and us a Christmas gift in one fell swoop, don’t let us stop you from ordering the book with as lazy shipping as you want.
Sex metaphor? Sex metaphor.
Read normal comic; that DOES sound slightly like a sex-metaphor!
Read hidden text; hmm, looks like they DID make a sex-metaphor joke!
Read hidden comic; … Wes, Tony, are you trying to tell us something?
should have named it protection.
still very funny
I’m ….a little uncomfortable now. Odd the suicide strip didn’t do it.
Isn’t boxing with glasses dangerous?
How nice of him to pay for the reparation cost of the glasses.
…and wrestling barefoot without waterproof overshoes is preferred as well…
Subtle…
Is it just me who doesn’t get it?
Just you, grandma and the 8 year olds.
Phew. for a second there, I thought I was alone. At least Grandma is with me
And me until I saw a comment saying “subtle” feel stupid now…I think they should have just put condoms on their fists then I’d have got it 😀
I had to read it a second time before I understood what it meant. And then I laughed.
I GET IT!!
For the slower people out there: Boxing=sex.
Oh, it’s a condom/pregnancy joke.
-slow clap-
-escalating clap-
*full-fledged cheering*
*and then the guy who takes it to far*
*guy who starts laughing again after everyone else stops*
*Thunder Clap*
Pillow Clap
*gets the clap*
I’m not exactly sure I understand this comic. At first I thought the joke was that the one boxing character was running a scam to repair peoples glasses for money. Then the secret comic completely erased that notion.
The boxing is a metaphor for sex, the gloves a metaphor for a condom, his broken glasses a metaphor for pregnancy. The coat hanger.. well, that’s a very unpleasant way of having an abortion.
I am 21 years old and I have never heard “boxing” being used as a metaphor for sex.
wait a few more years
That hurt my imaginary vag.
Me too Q.Q
that doesn’t look so imaginary from here
He got knocked up
:)) best comment so far
I was really hoping the bonus comic would have a baby shape growing horrifically inside the black eye.
Now that I have my disturbing image for the day…
Then the baby is going to burst out like an alien scattering eyeball meat and juices everywhere!
Totally didn’t get it at all until I saw the hidden comic, then I was like “Ohhhh lol”.
To be clear, I actually said “el oh el” I did not, in fact, laugh out loud.
Where’s the hidden comic? Where are ANY hidden comics?
Look through the source code veeeeery carefully, or keep an eye on your mouse. You’ll see 😉
I’d have lost it if the last panel he’s just pregnant.
i was going to make this comment about how i didnt understand the inuendo of the hidden comic, but after reading through the previous comments i think i fully understand the double meaning (along with losing my lunch)
Honestly boxing without gloves is pretty much better for you, health wise. Don’t get me wrong, bare fists hurt more and you’ll be more bruised. But the gloves re-distribute the force wide enough that only all the damage will be to your brain.
Yes I know it’s a sex metaphor here; I just wanted to share some boxing factoid.
Let’s not forget that punching a guy hurts both parties involved (relatively) equally. This leads to people pulling their punches (more often) which causes less damage than if you went without gloves. Gloves were meant to protect the puncher more than the guy getting punched.
If safety is your main concern, consider substituting the gloves for a baseball bat. This is safer for everyone (who has a baseball bat). Simples.
Didn’t get this one until I read the hidden comic.
Once he said it feels much better without the gloves, I pretty much knew where it was going. Strange that other people had to see the comments to get it, but then again, it’s probably on the lines that my mind is always in the gutter.
It’s funny how largely the people commenting here seem to be virgins. Pretty much everyone else has been in the metaphorical situation of this comic. Oh, except for the last panel, hopefully, and second for some, unfortunately. But you get my point.
I’m a virgin who’s never been in any metaphorical situation, but I got it immediately.
At least they didn’t try the crystal method.
