At least it’s better than the Hotel California. There you can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave. I guess you would just spend the rest of eternity hanging out in the lobby. Ernie at least still has his uncomfortable looking bed and depressing ship picture…
Come for the lightning strikes, stay for the great artwork on the walls…
If they had planned a bit better, they would have built the hotel with an infinite number of rooms. Then when a new guest/ghost arrives and they’re full up, the bell hop just needs to have everyone move down one room.
Ernie implies in the 3rd panel that he has to pay for the hotel yet it’s bad business that there are no vacancies? Surely wouldn’t a hotel full of paying customers all year round be the best possible situation?
Could always move in with someone. Not checking out, necessarily, just transferring. Then share the expense of the room! Voila! Less expensive.
I have this nagging feeling that this comic was inspired by Hotel California
“You can checkout any time you like, but you can never leave”
Except, you know, nobody ever checks out anyway.
I hate the fucking Eagles, man!
And the regular ones?
Bwahaha
I know what you mean. Tastes like chicken, but tough, stringy, and gamy.
Out of my f***in’ cab! Out!
wut.
I just figured it was based on the fact that haunted places are typically that of hotels.
I assume it’s a reference to the roach motel
Roaches check in, but they don’t check out

That’s pretty much what hell will be for me, thank you.
why not just divide by zero while they were at it?
Hilbert’s hotel >> Hotel California

Why not just put them all in the one room? They’re ethereal, so overlapping shouldn’t be a problem.
At least you didn’t get stuck at ghost toilet. But hey, I’ve got WIFI.

Needs a “ghost drinking up all the wine” reference…
