At least it’s better than the Hotel California. There you can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave. I guess you would just spend the rest of eternity hanging out in the lobby. Ernie at least still has his uncomfortable looking bed and depressing ship picture…

If they had planned a bit better, they would have built the hotel with an infinite number of rooms. Then when a new guest/ghost arrives and they’re full up, the bell hop just needs to have everyone move down one room.

Why not just put them all in the one room? They’re ethereal, so overlapping shouldn’t be a problem.

Ernie implies in the 3rd panel that he has to pay for the hotel yet it’s bad business that there are no vacancies? Surely wouldn’t a hotel full of paying customers all year round be the best possible situation?
