Hahaha. That’s not a bad idea if you really live in a desert or generally dry place.
Twist: The rain is actually an acid rain that will scorch crops and livestock around the world, signalling the end of days. His money is now obsolete and his shopping spree futile. The apocalypse is upon him, and all he has for comfort is meaningless paper. Or not . . . whatever.
I wish I could make it rain up in here!
Am I right?….
…Seriously, the crops are dying, and we keep getting scary letters from the bank.
Are you sure those are from the bank? Because I’ve gotten similar letters, and they come to my doorstep with dead animals.
Who are you? Pac Man Jones?
You know what they say, Never go shopping when you’re hungry…
Or wet.
The house has a green mustache
You have just made my everything.
Please marry me.
Haha
awesome dude!!!
This is why there’s so much crime in the desert.
the same thing happened to my college fund.
…I don’t get it, why would someone save up for a rainy day? Is it an expression of some sort?
‘Rainy day’ isn’t normally meant literally – they mean a day where you find yourself needing more money than you have (not wanting, like for shoes or movies, but needing, like for food and/or housing to maintain your standard of living. For the first, you’d just be saving money in general and not mention rain)
Ah, thanks for explaining 🙂 Now I laughed at this comic like I normally do.
Im saving all my money for my “end of days” fund. I just hope it isn’t the kind of apocalypse where afterward, money doesn’t matter. That would be some ‘hidden comic’ justice in my life.
Yeah– makes more sense to invest in stuff that might be useful in a disaster. But even then, you don’t know what sort of disaster might strike, so it’s hard to prepare.
I have met lots of people who thought this was the actual meaning of saving money for a rainy day.
